The H460 Civic Association is excited to announce that the Highlands 460 food truck season at Arapaho Park is here! The Food Truck schedule is below for September through December 2020!
Instructions: No Waiting. No Lines. Just order and pick it up.
Click on the food truck link (see below), order food, pay then you get a time that your food will be ready. Food is not ready early.
If there is a problem with a link, go to the truck and they will direct you.
Ordering begins when service begins at 5:00-7:30pm; many order early so think about ordering late!
You can't order until the truck turns the ordering system on.
Pick up your food while adhering to social distancing.

Large Item Pickup - Friday, October 2
This is the yearly opportunity to have large trash items hauled away that normally would be charged special fees if left curbside during the year. Many residents feel that this event is the most important part of being a paying member of H460!
A change from previous events is we gave the company a list of members to know where to pick up. So to expedite, paid members will be sent stickers that you can place on your items or group of items. Please be sure that the stickers are visible, but they do not need to be on every item as the refuse company will pick up everything in proximity.
Items should be placed at the end of the property without obstructing walkways or streets on October 1st for pickup on October 2nd. We will share our event information with recycling entities so you may see some pickup activity before the large 1-800-GOT-JUNK trucks. There is only one visit per truck per address. If your items were out on the 1st but pickup does not happen by the end of the day on the 2nd, let us know using the H460 contact information below. They will not visit multiple times, including items that were not out by the 1st.

Unacceptable items that will NOT be picked up:
Any single item that cannot be lifted by 2 people (more than ~150lbs); liquid of any kind; any appliance with Freon unit such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners; car bodies; car batteries; antifreeze; motor oil; tires; propane tanks; sealed containers or drums; tanks under pressure (oxygen, helium, propane); fuels; oils; any item listed as hazardous material; chemicals; corrosives; pesticides; herbicides; paint; radioactive waste; pharmaceutical waste; industrial waste; fluorescent lighting; household trash; televisions.
**We are paying by volume and the trucks do not have crushers so PLEASE break down items if you are able.**

What day will the pickup be made?
The Large Item Pickup (LIP) will be Friday, October 2. Why Friday? Previous years have indicated that we cannot judge the volume of large items from year to year and we need to have a “backup” day in case more items are to be picked up than can be picked up in a day. Many landfills are closed on Sundays, so our backup day is October 3 if needed. Note - any items not out on October 2 will NOT be picked up on October 3.
Who is able to use this service?
• Any homeowner who has paid the 2020 dues can participate in the LIP service and will be mailed a sticker.
• Homeowners who have not paid their 2020 dues by October 1 can still pay and participate in the LIP by going to membership.h460.org.
When should I expect to receive my sticker?
• The stickers to be placed on the “pile” should arrive by the week of September 14th.
What should I do if my sticker does not arrive by September 14th?

Who should I contact for a replacement sticker if it is lost?

What if my house is missed by the garbage company on the day of the LIP?

• Please be sure items are curbside by 6:30 a.m. on the day of the LIP. The crews start at 6:30 a.m.
• If you place items curbside the night before, please do not place the sticker on the pile until the next morning. We usually have pickers cruising the neighborhood the night before and the stickers may be inadvertently lost.
Fall Cleanup - Saturday, October 3
Please join friends and neighbors for about an hour while we clean up the main arteries of our neighborhood for the 10th annual Fall Clean Up. Due to the COVID-19 virus, please observe social distancing and wear a mask when we meet up in the morning at 8:00 a.m. on the southwest corner of Adams and Monroe by Arapaho Park.
Like previous years, we are going to focus on picking up trash along the main neighborhood arteries, so it should go pretty fast. Unlike previous years however, refreshments will not be provided due to the COVID-19 virus. Garbage bags will be available. Please bring gloves to wear when picking up the trash.
